So, to be fairly upfront -- I'm older than 25, younger than 35, and have been RPing online since I was 10. I've cultivated a career off the back of my writing, leading me to be a little picky for very long-term engagements.In the short term, I will be straightforward if I think we'll be a poor fit and will always be honest about this.We're both here to have fun -- I promise that if I turn you down, it's because you also wouldn't have fun with me, and I don't want to waste your time, either.

I honestly just need a short blurb for a basis and I'm good to go!Pretty much? So long as we pick a place both characters would go, as well as an open-ended or specific direction, and I'm ready.

Aletheia is one of my alts, but this is not reflective of the quality of the character or the focus she gets from me. I have RPs dating back to 2007 with her, so gameplay time is a poor metric.As a result, I really don't mind if you're rocking an alt or not. It's all good by me. If I can tell you care about your character, that's all I really want.

I love romance, whether it's SFW or not. Aletheia trends toward monogamy when it comes to romance, so my solution is simple -- I'm happy to ship Aletheia with your character, but consider it just one of multiple timelines for my girl.As far as official canon goes? Aletheia just isn't going to be a part of any IC poly relationships. A fling is one thing, but for an actual relationship? Absolutely not.

Makings of a girl

Note: Aletheia's precise origins are open to change as I am building into a portion of canon that has so far gone unexamined. The only things utterly set in stone will be bolded.Raised in Coerthas prior to the Calamity, Aletheia Oración was a victim of circumstance. Her family is gone, her village likewise. A tale known to many who lived through the worst of the Dragonsong War. What was left, however, was a girl, her skin bleached a pure white by light-aspected aether. When asked for what had transpired, she answered that she had been saved.By a being named "Madeen".As there could not be found any connection between this odd Aether and that of dragonkind, she escaped the rope of the inquisitors and has since lived a relatively normal life with relatives. She was forever marked however -- she is overwhelmed by the touch of the sun, and has covered herself in veil and cloth to eke out her existence.But she always wondered at this thing that had forever marked her, and wished to seek more. Aletheia is more or less a free agent of a character. Hers is a simple life, defined not by grand adventure but by a curious spirit and a desire for... in truth, she'd be hard-pressed to say, outside of "more".With that in mind...1. Aletheia the Pictomancer: The one canon class she has, although I could see her going into Conjury. Aletheia has a modest talent for handling aether, an imaginative personality, and was searching for rumors of the being "Madeen" -- it is only natural she would have learned of Pictomancy, and from there picked up the basics. Anything to do with her exploration regarding magic and Madeen is a good avenue.2. Aletheia the Victim: Yeah, look at her. She's pretty obviously bully bait and I have the /c/ to back that one up. Heck, half of my reason for making her a PCT is its association with Moogles and the fact that they'd totally mess with her. If you're interested in victimizing her, hit me up. We might find something fun to do together.3. Aletheia the Seeker: Related to her life as a PCT, but more broadly speaking. She's a character who is just... passively unsatisfied. She has a tendency towards seeking novelty, and is drawn towards impressive-seeming individuals, wanting to know of their lives and stories. If you're eye-catching enough, you may find that you've caught hers.4. Aletheia the Mundane: I'm genuinely happy with just cute slice-of-life things. I welcome romance as a main objective and priority.

Okay! Pretty simple. Gonna drop all pretense here.Aletheia is a character I've had for a good while -- her connection to lunar energies is pretty easy to set up in any roleplay setting with a dash of magic, but FFXIV magic works a little differently and systematically than most places. It's a lot more consistent than, say, D&D.To this end, I've decided to make Aletheia the victim of Umbral Aetherial Imbalance, specifically light magic brought about by exposure to a powerful light-themed being. Moreover, she owes her life to this very same being "Madeen". In original lore, i.e. FF9, Madeen was a holy-aligned summon not dissimilar to Alexander.What Madeen is in the context of my roleplaying? I don't know. It may have been a greater being like a dragon or Bismarck, it may have been a runaway Primal who had some ability to stay ahead of being purged, a la Odin and Zantetsuken. I currently lean towards the latter, particularly given Coerthas' proximity to Azys Lla.Additionally, I also treat Aletheia as being beholden to a rather benign form of tempering whereby she can not be tempered by another source, but also she is absent any form of command (at least that she is aware of -- who knows, maybe it's behind her wanderlust out of intention of eventually using her for something).Since I intend to play her with a loose approach to personal continuity, I may change parts of this to work well with a plot. For example -- while I don't consider her to naturally have an enmity with Voidsent, or that they would be drawn to her, or even that her light aether would make her especially dangerous to them...... any one of those possibilities would make sense, and if they work towards making a more interesting plot hook work, I will happily talk this over with a partner.It's not that she's an inconsistent character. It's that I'm fine with manipulating the levers on a partner-to-partner basis, while never touching any of the things that ACTUALLY make Aletheia who she is.

There are two basic ways that Aletheia can be played, and it's honestly mood-dependent which one I prefer. I'll describe both and under them will be any specific hooks or kinks I'm craving.Oh, and here's the F-List.

SWEET & WHOLESOME

The basic way that ERP goes down with her. She is sheltered and somewhat naive, but open to new experiences. These sorts of plays are wholly consensual and based on mutual enjoyment.While she is shy about the topic of sex, she also really, really likes it. Or will! Being that by default I treat her as virginal (but she doesn't have to be). If she's into someone, it would be almost shocking how willing she is to go from kissing to letting a hand under her dress.You can find more specifics on her F-List, but her favored partners are generally muscular and phallic.
